Knights averaging 32 points while allowing 12.8 per game. Ranked No. 7 nationally and No. 6 in California by MaxPreps.

No. 2 SACRED HEART PREP (8-1)

Gators bounced back from loss to Milpitas, beating Sacred Heart Cathedral on Monday.

No. 3 LIBERTY (8-0)

Lions remain unbeaten by dominating Pittsburg 25-6 and winning over Foothill 19-12.

No. 4 ACALANES (9-0)

Leads the Diablo Athletic League with a 5-0 record. Has scored 235 points and allowed 12.

No. 5 JAMES LOGAN (8-0)

Sophomore Elina Yap leads the Colts, who are in their first year of competition, with 14 sacks.

No. 6 LAS LOMAS (10-0)

Tied for the most wins of any unbeaten Bay Area team, according to MaxPreps, though there have been close calls against SRV and Clayton Valley. Most recently routed Concord 51-8.

No. 7 CALIFORNIA (8-1)

Defense is an undeniable strength – Cal has allowed more than 10 points just three times all season.

No. 8 SAN RAMON VALLEY (8-3)

Contended with SHP in a recent 6-0 loss and started the season with a win over Amador Valley. Most recently routed Dougherty Valley 46-7.

No. 9 AMADOR VALLEY (8-3)

Has wins over Granada and Los Gatos. Most recently edged Monte Vista 20-13 and beat Dublin 18-2.

No. 10 MILPITAS (8-3)

Features a balanced offense led by junior QB Bren David, who has 27 passing TDs and 13 rushing scores. 

No. 11 LOS ALTOS (9-3)

Freshman Natatie Stavrakos is a defensive standout, leading the Eagles with 23 sacks and 15 QB hurries.

No. 12 GRANADA (9-5)

Last season’s North Coast Section semifinalists are jostling for position in a rugged East Bay Athletic League. Are 3-2 in the EBAL with wins over Carondelet, Monte Vista and Dougherty Valley and losses to Amador Valley and California. 

No. 13 NOTRE DAME-SAN JOSE (9-1-1)

The best team in the Santa Clara Valley has wins over Willow Glen, Mountain View, St. Francis and The King’s Academy. 

No. 14 ST. MARY’S-BERKELEY (10-0)

Has been largely unchallenged against competition exclusively from the East Bay, winning each game by at least six points.  

No. 15 HERITAGE (7-1) 

Routed Alameda, last year’s NCS champions, 46-0. Also played Liberty tight, losing 13-7.
