High school football rankings Week 5, 2025: Bay Area News Group Top 25

Following a relatively quiet Week 4 slate, the Bay Area News Group football rankings didn’t chance much.

Acalanes jumped two spots after another impressive offensive showing against College Park, going from sixth to fourth.

San Ramon Valley fell out of the Top 5 after getting blown out by Fresno area powerhouse Clovis North. The Wolves were the only team in the rankings to record a loss.

Meanwhile, Liberty moved up a spot after a solid win over Amador Valley. Monte Vista also rose after beating James Logan.

All of the West Catholic Athletic League teams had a bye week, as did Pittsburg and Salesian.
