Heat advisory active for Delta until Saturday night

Delta is under a heat advisory which was released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 12:43 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Saturday Aug. 23, at 11 p.m.

The NWS Sacramento CA said, “High temperatures of 95 to 107 degrees expected. Overnight low temperatures in the mid 60s to 70s. Widespread Moderate HeatRisk with areas of Major HeatRisk.”

“Heat related illnesses increase significantly during heat events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities,” the NWS said.

Carquinez Strait and Delta
Shasta Lake Area / Northern Shasta County
Northern Sacramento Valley
Central Sacramento Valley
Southern Sacramento Valley
Northern San Joaquin Valley
Mountains Southwestern Shasta County to Western Colusa County
