Officers arrested Julio Cesar Lopez Zavala, 23, after receiving videos and tips from the public of the alleged assault at the Aug. 16 concert of Rüfüs Du Sol, an Australian alternative dance band, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

A viral video posted on X appeared to show a man hitting a woman at least a half-dozen times, seeming to knock her unconscious. Another woman then pulled down the man’s pants but couldn’t stop the assault.

The victim said on social media that the attack happened after she reached her seat in section 12H of the stadium and spilled a drink on the man in front of her. She apologized, but the man yelled at her and returned about 30 minutes later, threatening violence, the woman said.

“I tried to calm the situation and apologized again — and the next thing I remember, I woke up in the medical tent an hour later and missed the entire show,” she said.

The woman declined further medical treatment and transportation to a hospital, a city spokesperson said.
