Aaron Rodgers insists mystery wife is real: ‘I just really love her’

Ever since NFL star Aaron Rodgers announced In June that he had secretly married a woman he won’t fully identify to protect her privacy, he’s faced rumors that this mystery wife doesn’t really exist.

But at the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp Saturday, the team’s new quarterback explained how this wife, reportedly named Brittani (“with an ‘I,’” he once explained) is very much real and has changed his world for the better, according to The Sun.

“When you meet the right one and you’re with the right one, your whole world changes in a second,” the 41-year-old Rodgers said.

“And to have that person that unconditionally loves you behind the scenes, there’s no better feeling in the world,” continued the former longtime Green Bay Packers quarterback and four-time NFL MVP.

Rodgers went on: “I have got the most incredible wife. I just really love her and I’m so thankful to have her by my side at the end.”

“When you have that stability and that rock behind you at the house, you feel like you can do anything,” concluded Rodgers.

So, it sounds like Brittani isn’t famous in her own right and may not even have a demanding career, so that she can keep things stable and be “that rock” at home. It’s well known that Rodgers’ past three romances were with famous, accomplished women. Those romances failed and at least two ended in public bitterness.

The controversial, Chico-reared quarterback dated actor Olivia Munn from 2014 to 2017, retired NASCAR driver Danica Patrick from 2018 to 2020 and actor Shailene Woodley. to whom he was engaged, from 2020 and 2022.  In recent months, both Patrick and Woodley have been vocal about how their respective relationships with Rodgers were “emotionally abusive” and “toxic.”

Rodgers first revealed that he had a new girlfriend in late 2024 while on “The Pat McAfee Show.” Then still signed with the New York Jets, Rodgers casually dropped the news about Brittani while discussing his Christmas shopping habits. He admitted to feeling some holiday stress when the gift he ordered online for Brittani was late in arriving.

The revelation appeared to catch host McAfee off guard, People magazine reported at the time. A.J. Hawk, McAfee’s cohost and Rodgers’ former teammate from the Green Bay Packers, jokingly asked, “Spears?”

“Not Brittany Spears, no, this is Brittani with an ‘i,’” Rodgers clarified.

More recently, Rodgers defended his marriage on McAfee’s show, denying conspiracy theories that there’s actually no wife, The Sun also reported.

“It’s a sick society, isn’t it?” Rodgers said. “I lived in the public eye for 20 years, I had public relationships.”

“How did that work out?” Rodgers asked. “I had people leaking my home information, and making up stories, I had people calling the paparazzi, I had people posting my personal life on the internet.

“Now I’m with someone who’s private who doesn’t want to be in the public eye, didn’t sign up to be in the public eye, doesn’t want to be a celebrity,” Rodgers continued. “And because I do things in private because I want my personal life to be private, I’m now weird and have the paparazzi stalking me.”
