
Friends fundraisers
The Friends of the Campbell Library is holding a number of fundraisers to support the Love our Library Campaign to raise $250,000 to provide the enhancements for the new Campbell Library. Donations will go toward the library’s community room, meeting rooms, a children’s room and a teen area.

Bibliophiles who want to support the library can peruse the Friends’ eBay Auction through Aug. 4. Items include nine collector’s edition leatherbound books by William Faulkner; Life magazines from the ’60s; A 2025 book by Rick Steves, “On The Hippie Trail,” about his 1968 adventure from Istanbul to Kathmandu; a leatherbound edition of “The Psychology of the Unconscious” by Carl Jung, a 23-book collection of the Berenstain Bears; a boxed set of three books on the Civil War; and a boxed edition of the complete works of H.P. Lovecraft.

Offline, the Friends are holding a used book sale on Saturday, Aug. 9, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., on the patio outside the Campbell Express Library at 1 W. Campbell Ave., room E46.
The sale offers books for all ages, plus puzzles, games, DVDs, CDs and Blu-Ray, along with crafts made by Friends volunteers. For more information, visit https://www.campbellfol.org
Those who like a burrito with their book can head to the Chipotle at 1815 S. Bascom Ave. on Aug. 13 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Let the cashier know that you’re part of the Friends’ fundraiser before paying, and 25% of your tab will be donated to the group.
To order online, use promo code XGHGCKZ on the Chipotle app or website. Orders may be placed earlier on the day of the fundraiser, but pickup must be scheduled at the Bascom Avenue restaurant between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.—and it needs to be pickup, not delivery, to count.
