The owners of a Rancho Cucamonga store that sells Japanese specialty goods are offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the return of what they say was more than $1 million worth of jewelry and other merchandise taken by burglars who broke into the warehouse by ramming a van through the garage door in the middle of the night.

Riko Zakka, at 10700 Jersey Blvd., was burglarized just before 4 a.m. on July 18. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating, spokeswoman Gloria Orejel said Friday, July 25.
Surveillance video shows a white cargo van backing through a metal sliding door. Another camera, mounted inside the business, captures two masked men speaking Spanish as they search the warehouse for valuables. At one point, they team up to carry what appears to be a heavy container.
“As a small, family-run Japanese specialty store, this was a heartbreaking blow to our business,” the owners said in a news release. “They proceeded to steal a large collection of fine jewelry that had been meticulously prepared for an upcoming jewelry trade show on July 19, along with mobile phones and other merchandise.”
The owners ask anyone with information to call Riko at 619-206-6109 or the Sheriff’s Department at 909-477-2800.
