
EL CERRITO — Authorities are working to discover the circumstances behind the death of a person found dead Thursday morning.

In a statement, El Cerrito police said fire crews responded at 9:54 a.m. to a report of a person found unresponsive at Ohlone Greenway near Conlon Avenue. Paramedics at the scene pronounced the person dead.
Authorities have not identified the person, pending notification of family. The cause of death has not been determined, police said.
Police said officers spoke to the person who called 911, as well as other witnesses. Police said the person found dead last had been seen about 7 a.m.
Police do not believe there is danger to the public, nor are they seeking any suspects. They are seeking information, and asked anyone who might have any to contact them at 510-237-3233.
