San Jose: West Taylor Street reopens after collision leaves pedestrian in critical condition

Traffic was again flowing on San Jose’s West Taylor Street on Saturday as of 9:15 a.m., after a woman was struck by a vehicle.

The victim, a pedestrian, was hospitalized in critical condition following the collision, according to the San Jose Police Department.

The driver remained on the scene and was cooperating with police.

West Taylor Street was closed in both directions from state Highway 87 to Coleman Avenue for about two-and-a-half hours following the 6:32 a.m. wreck, which occurred at the intersection of Spring Street.
