Roaring Camp—in miniature—comes to Sunnyvale’s Heritage Park Museum

The patriotic event will last from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The schedule includes a speech by a representative of the Veterans Memorial & Support Foundation, a flag raising and a children’s bike and stroller parade. The carousel will be operating, and there will be inflatables for kids and a beer and wine garden for adults.

Food trucks and stands include the Billy Jones Snack Shack and BBQ, Chule Puebla and The Waffle Roost.

New Museum Los Gatos is open for free on the first Sunday of the month with registration.

The museum is open July 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be a guided art tour from 11:30 a.m. to noon and a guided history tour from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Vegetation clearing

The Town of Los Gatos warned residents about hazardous vegetarian clearing in Heintz and Santa Rosa open space preserves.

Vegetation is cleaned up to reduce potential wildfire fuel and create defensible space around park structures, trails and areas close to homes.

The work started on April 21 and will continue through July, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays.
