The Bay Area donors that are helping pay for $300 million White House ballroom

The White House released a list of the donors paying for the ballroom to be built on the former site of the East Wing.

A new $200 million White House ballroom to break ground in September, the first major upgrade since 1948

President Donald Trump on Wednesday said the 90,000-square-foot facility will cost “about $300 million” — up from the previously released estimate of $200 million.

Trump has said the ballroom will be paid for by himself and donors, with no taxpayer money being used.

The donor list included these companies with Bay Area ties:

Apple, Cupertino

Coinbase, digital currency. Founded in San Francisco and has an office there, though it claims no physical headquarters.

Google, Mountain View.

HP Inc., Palo Alto

Meta Platforms, Menlo Park

Microsoft. Based in Redmond, Wash., but has a significant Bay Area workforce, including at a Mountain View hub.

Palantir Technologies. Founded in Silicon Valley; headquarters moved in 2020 to Denver.

Ripple, financial/blockchain, San Francisco.
