Jimbōchō. Borgerhout. Barra Funda. No, it’s not one of those, although they do score highly on Time Out’s recent list, “The 39 coolest neighborhoods in the world in 2025.”

Rather, for its 35th pick, the magazine’s editors and writers nominated Glen Park, the unassuming ‘hood in the shadow of Twin Peaks. They write: “Hastily built after the 1906 earthquake, you’ll find turn-of-the-century architecture and Mission-style homes, not to mention lofty views with fog seasonally crawling up the street thick as a blanket…. Quietly cool, Glen Park might not be as in-your-face as other San Francisco neighborhoods, but that’s what gives the place its charm.”
