
ANTIOCH — A woman died Tuesday night after she was struck by a freight train, authorities said.
The coroner’s bureau on Wednesday was trying to identify the woman and contact her family. She appeared to be in her 40s, authorities said.

The fatal collision happened about 7:57 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of A and East 6th streets.
Authorities said the woman was struck by a Burlington Northern and Santa Fe freight train. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details were immediately available.
