When will Disneyland raise ticket prices? Likely in the next few weeks

To paraphrase Ben Franklin, nothing is certain in this world except death, taxes and Disneyland ticket price increases. The only uncertainties surrounding the inevitable Disneyland price hike: When and how much?

A pair of Disney theme park fan websites have forecast Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will raise ticket prices again in early October — just a few weeks from now.

MousePlanet reports Disneyland is expected to announce a ticket price increase on Oct. 8.

MickeyVisit predicts Disneyland will announce an admission price hike on Oct. 7 or 8 if recent history holds.

Disneyland has not announced any plans to raise ticket prices in October.

The forecasts from MousePlanet and MickeyVisit are based on solid evidence from the past three years.

“Disney follows a similar pattern for ticket increases each year and this allows us to give an accurate prediction for when the next ticket price increase will happen,” according to MickeyVisit.

Disneyland raised ticket prices on Tuesday, Oct. 11 in 2022, Wednesday, Oct. 11 in 2023 and Wednesday, Oct. 9 in 2024.

The educated hunch: Disneyland announced ticket price increases on a Tuesday or Wednesday during the second week in October over the past three years — and will do so again this October.

This year, Oct. 7 falls on a Tuesday and Oct. 8 falls on a Wednesday during the second week of the month.

“What this means is that now is a really good time to plan your next Disneyland visit and get your tickets sorted if possible,” according to MousePlanet.

MousePlanet recommends buying tickets now at the current prices if you already know you’re going to visit Disneyland or DCA during the 2025 holiday season or in early 2026.

Disneyland has raised ticket prices annually in October since reopening after the yearlong shutdown of the parks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before the pandemic, Disneyland typically announced annual price increases in January or February just after the start of the new year.

How much will Disneyland raise ticket prices this time around?

Disneyland introduced tiered pricing in 2016 with lower prices during slower periods of the year and higher prices during the busiest seasons. Since then, the park has expanded the number of ticket tiers and steadily raised prices on the top end while holding the lowest price steady.

Disneyland hasn’t raised the price of the cheapest $104 one-day single park admission since 2019 — and is unlikely to change the rock bottom price anytime soon.

Top tier one-day tickets to Disneyland and DCA currently cost $206 for a single park admission and $281 for a parkhopper ticket.

Since 2020, Disneyland’s top tier one-day prices have risen annually 3.3% to 9.1% for a single park admission and 3.4% to 9.2% annually for a parkhopper ticket.

Based on those estimates, Disneyland’s top tier tickets are forecast to rise to $213 to $225 for a one-day admission and $295 to $306 for a parkhopper during the next round of price hikes.
