
ANTIOCH — A woman was injured in a shooting Friday afternoon in Antioch, according to authorities.

Around 1:30 p.m., the Antioch Police Department received multiple reports of a shooting in the 3500 block of Lone Tree Way, Sgt. Loren Bledsoe said in a news release. Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Paramedics stabilized the woman at the scene and took her to an area hospital for treatment, Bledsoe said, adding that she was in stable condition and expected to survive.
Police identified the victim as a 44-year-old resident of Brentwood.
An investigation is underway into the shooting. No arrests were announced Friday.
