La Liga, Spain’s premier soccer league, has returned for the 2025-2026 season and promises plenty of action with returning global stars like teen sensation Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid) and Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid).
Real Madrid added several players to its star-studded roaster, including Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) and Franco Mastantuono (River Plate), while defending champion Barcelona, because of ongoing financial restrictions, added only Joan Garcia (Espanyol), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United, on loan) and Roony Bardghji (Copenhagen).
Among upcoming matches to look forward to is Barça’s first match (v.s Mallorca, August 16) and Los Merengues inaugural game (vs. Osasuna, August 19). The first Atlético Madrid vs. Real will be on September 28, while the first of two Clásicos between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be on October 26.
