The woman’s car, a Nissan Altima, crashed against the center divider wall, leaving her unconscious.

A vehicle window had to be broken to gain entry so she could be extricated and medically treated, authorities said. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

The crash caused the two eastbound lanes closest to the divider to be shut down for almost 45 minutes.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Anyone with information may call the CHP Oakland office at 510-457-2875.
