
SAN JOSE – Authorities are investigating a traffic collision that left a driver dead Monday afternoon in San Jose.

The solo-vehicle crash happened just after 3 p.m. near Berryessa Road and Morrill Avenue.
Medical personnel took the driver to an area hospital, where the person was pronounced dead, police said.
Additional details about the case were not immediately available.
Authorities closed both directions of Berryessa Road between Morrill Avenue and Sandstone Lane for an investigation. The roadway reopened just before 6 p.m. Monday.
