
LIVERMORE — A 19-year-old man wanted for his suspected actions in a 2024 stabbing that injured a person has been arrested, police said.

Details of the stabbing itself were not available immediately.
In a statement, Livermore police said they arrested the suspect Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. They added that an active arrest warrant had been out for him.
Police said the arrest happened after a patrolling officer near Pine Street and Rincon Avenue spotted the 19-year-old.
The suspect tried to escape on a bicycle when the officer pulled up, police said. Other officers responded and surrounded the area, and one of them located the 19-year-old on Chestnut Street. Police said they arrested him there.
No other information was available immediately.
