For the former group, character backpacks like Disney and superheroes are the most popular. Among the latter group, plain-colored backpacks in black, gray and blue are highly requested, with Jansport being the preferred brand.

New backpacks can be delivered or shipped directly to to Sunnyvale Community Services, 1160 Kern Ave. Donations can be dropped off Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday 9 a.m.-noon and 12:30-4 p.m.
