SAN JOSE — A man was arrested following a double stabbing that ended with the death of another man late Tuesday, police said.
Officers were called around 10 p.m. to the 1300 block of Alvernaz Drive, off Yerba Buena Road and McLaughlin Avenue, for a report of a stabbing at a home, according to the San Jose Police Department.

One of the victims died at the scene, while the second, also a man, is expected to recover. The deceased man’s name was not publicly released pending his formal identification and notification of his next of kin by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
