Crews battle two-alarm fire at East Oakland warehouse

OAKLAND — A two-alarm blaze broke out at a vacant warehouse Thursday night in East Oakland, fire officials said.

All evacuation orders lifted as crews fully contain fire in San Jose foothills

The fire was reported just after 8 p.m. in the 1300 block of Fruitvale Avenue, near International Boulevard, according to the Oakland Fire Department. An incident commander placed the blaze under control about an hour later.

More than 35 firefighters worked to extinguish the flames, fire officials said. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
