
PALO ALTO – A vegetation fire destroyed a building and disrupted traffic in Los Altos Hills on Wednesday afternoon, fire officials said.

The blaze was reported around 3:30 p.m. near the 27000 block of Roble Blanco Court, according to the Santa Clara County Fire Department. Crews arrived to find the fire, estimated to be about an acre in size, burning in “light flashy fuels” and threatening structures.
The fire was knocked down just after 4 p.m., fire officials said. One outbuilding was destroyed.
Page Mill Road was closed to traffic in both directions due to the fire, according to police in neighboring Palo Alto. Around 5:35 p.m., police announced the roadway had reopened.
Crews were expected to remain at the scene for several more hours, fire officials said.
