No. 2 SERRA (28-7)

Final word: Beat Valley Christian 3-2 in the Central Coast Section Division I championship game. Lost to De La Salle 5-4 in the NorCal Division I finals. 

No. 3 VALLEY CHRISTIAN (25-8-1)

Final word: Lost to St. Mary’s-Stockton 4-3 in the NorCal Division I semifinals. 

No. 4 LOS GATOS (25-6)

Final word: Lost to Serra 3-0 in the NorCal Division I semifinals.

Final word: Beat De La Salle 5-1 in the East Bay Athletic League championship. Lost to Casa Grande 3-2 in the NCS Division I quarterfinals.

Final word: Beat Monterey 5-4 to capture the CCS Division V title. Beat Santa Clara 2-1 in the NorCal Division IV finals.

WAY-TOO-EARLY TOP 5 FOR 2026

No. 1 DE LA SALLE

Early word: The Spartans are slated to return Stanford commit Tyler Spangler, all-league pitcher Roman Bartosh and freshman infielder Jacob Gray next year. 

No. 2 VALLEY CHRISTIAN

Early word: Replacing do-it-all player Quinten Marsh will be tough, but the Warriors are slated to have outfielder Christian Navarez infielder and Nathan Choi back in their lineup in 2026.  

No. 3 ST. FRANCIS

Early word: The Lancers made it all the way to a NorCal title game with a team that had young impact players at every position. Tanner Wall, Jack Leeper, Gino Cappellazzo, Siale Tulua, Henry Dommer and Landon King solidify a strong core that is set to return next year. 

No. 4 COLLEGE PARK

Early word: Hitters TJ Reinhart and Davin Koepp along with right-handed pitcher Sebastian Alvarez were a big reason why College Park got hot late, and all three are slated to return for their senior seasons. 

No. 5 SERRA

Early word: Junior Nate Hui made every big play for Serra this past postseason and he is expected to return along with sophomores William Walbridge and Aaron Minton.

Teams eligible for the Bay Area News Group rankings come from leagues based predominantly in Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
