1 SEE & HEAR: Great shows are all over
From the always-entertaining Mumford & Sons (early next week) to a classical concert with Spanish flair and a forest exhibit of giant trolls, there is a lot to see and do in the Bay Area.
2 DINE: A new Daytrip beckons
When the culinary hotspot Daytrip in Oakland closed late last year, the East Bay lost one of it more popular and most heralded restaurants. Annalise Basso, left, and Tom Hiddleston star in “The Life of Chuck,” an adaptation of the Stephen King novella. (Neon)
3 WATCH: A worthy ‘Life of Chuck’
Stephen King may be one of our best and most beloved horror/thriller writers, but his works haven’t always fared well when adapted for the big screen (“Children of the Corn,” anyone?). But fear not, his novella “The Life of Chuck” has just been made into a terrific film, and it opens this weekend.
4 COOK & DEVOUR: A stupendous steak salad
This trattoria-style steak salad is super-delicious and soooo easy to make.
5 WATCH: Theater’s biggest night
At a time when the Broadway scene is as healthy as it’s been for a while, the Tony Awards return on Sunday to honor the best of the Great White Way. Here’s one recap of who will win, and who should win.
Nate Brenner, left, and his wife, Merrill Garbus — aka the Tune-Yards — have a new album out and a trio of Bay Area shows upcoming. (Ray Chavez/Bay Area News Group)
6 SEE & HEAR: Tune into the Tune-Yards
The Oakland duo of Merrill Garbus and Nate Brenner have been favorites in the indie-pop world for more than a decade now. And they just dropped a new album and have three Bay Area shows coming up.

Roasted vegetables are the secret to this irresistible and easy-to-make frittata recipe from Ina Garten.
