Student presentation in Taiwan
A trio of Saratoga High School students presented a drone that monitors carbon emissions in Taiwan in April.
Seniors Kirby Fung, Ryan Modafe and Varun Thota were accompanied by their teachers Audrey Warmuth and Matt Welander at the 2025 Global Sustainable Student Action Summit.
Their project was called “Dronezero: An Innovative CO2 Monitoring System.” They designed and created a drone that serves as a cost-effective solution to satellite monitoring of carbon dioxide emissions while also making the information publicly accessible.
