
Mills softball player Jazzy Maske is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for May 5-10.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Maske finished with 45.12% of the vote. Hillsdale softball player Lola Jones took second, and Newark Memorial track and field athlete Alice McCarty was third.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Maske, a sophomore, had two doubles, two RBIs and scored two runs as Mills routed Sequoia 13-3. In a 14-3 win over Menlo-Atherton, Maske posted three hits, three RBIs, four runs scored, a triple and a home run.
