It’s time to dominATE.
Bay Area K-pop fans most definitely know what we’re talking about here. And tens of thousands of them have been counting down the day until it happens.
Of course, we are referring to the arrival of K-pop superstars Stray Kids, who bring their dominATE World Tour to Oracle Park in San Francisco on May 28.
The Stray Kids’ global jaunt, which includes stops in Asia, Latin America, North America, Europe and the United Kingdom, follows the massive success of 2022-23’s Maniac tour. That earlier trek consisted of 42 shows in 18 cities.
This current roadshow is the band’s third world tour.
That’s an amazing accomplishment, especially given that this South Korean “boy band” octet — consisting of Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N. — hasn’t even been around for 10 years.
Yet, the Stray Kids have been a massive success right from the start, with the band’s first studio album — “Go Live” — debuting at No. 1 on the South Korean pop charts.
The group is out on the road in support of its latest EP, “Ate” (thus, the dominATE in the tour name — get it?). The EP topped the charts in numerous countries, including the U.S.
Tickets for the Stray Kids San Francisco concert start at $70 (subject to change), ticketmaster.com. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
