NEWARK — A San Leandro man has been arrested and charged with arranging online to meet a girl, after an undercover cop allegedly convinced him that he was talking to a 13-year-old, according to court records.
Cesas Daniel Ramirez-Sandoval, 30, was charged with arranging to meet a minor online and sending harmful material to a minor, both felonies. He has been released from jail, but ordered to stay away from children unsupervised. He is next due in court on June 9, records show.
Ramirez-Sandoval was arrested at a CVS in Newark where he had arranged to meet a “girl” after talking to a cop posing as a teen on Snapchat, according to court records. In a police interview, he claimed he thought he was talking to a 21-year-old, but authorities say he was told at the beginning of the conversation that the purported girl was 13.
“I don’t care,” Ramirez-Sandoval allegedly replied. Later, he allegedly questioned her about sexual history and talked about specific sex acts. Police say he also sent her a 24-second video of male genitals.
Ramirez-Sandoval was arrested on April 30 and charged earlier this month, court records show.
