
A motorcyclist died in a collision on Interstate 880 in Oakland on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The crash between a vehicle and the motorcycle happened at around 4:40 p.m. on southbound I-880 near Hegenberger Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

First responders declared the motorcyclist, a man, dead at the scene.
Two highway lanes were closed for about two hours on Sunday afternoon.
The CHP said the collision is still under investigation and that was still unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role.
