Fire crews respond to blaze at two-story building in Oakland

Oakland fire department crews responded to a blaze just after 1 p.m. on Saturday in Oakland.

The fire occurred at a small two-story apartment building on the 1200 block of 73rd Avenue, not far from the intersection of Hegenberger Road and International Blvd.

Crews were first alerted of the single-alarm fire at 1:06 p.m.

By 1:38 p.m., the fire was under control.

Two crews responded to the blaze.

No other information, regarding possible injuries or cause of the fire, was immediately available.
