Stabbing near Concord freeway entrance probed

CONCORD — A stabbing near a freeway entrance Wednesday injured two men and left police looking for the people who did it.

In a statement, police said they found the two wounded men after responding to reports of a stabbing about 3 p.m. Police said the stabbing happened on Willow Pass Road near the state Highway 242 entrance.

Both men were in stable condition at a hospital, police said.

According to police, investigators were looking for more than one suspect and those responsible for the stabbing fled before they got there. Police did not say whether they ran from the scene or drove.

Investigators who specialize in gang violence were probing the circumstances.
