
OAKLAND — Two people were wounded by gunfire while they dined at a restaurant in downtown Oakland, an incident that left a window riddled with bullet holes, according to police.
The shooting occurred around 8:16 p.m. Friday night at Pierre Pierre restaurant, a ground-floor dining establishment at 409 13th Street, which is the Tribune Tower in downtown Oakland, police said.

A Richmond man, 24, and an Oakland woman, 31, were hit by the spray of gunfire during dinner service at Pierre Pierre restaurant, according to investigators.
The man was hit more than once, and the woman was hit at least once. The victims secured rides to different hospitals in the Bay Area.

The victims were reported to be in stable condition. The identities of the victims weren’t disclosed.
Bullet holes were visible in the window on Saturday. The shooting occurred on the Franklin Street side of the Tribune Tower.
Police arrested the driver of the wounded man after a firearm was found in the driver’s vehicle. Police believe the driver had no connection to the shooting incident. The driver, 26, wasn’t identified.
No arrests had been made or disclosed as of mid-morning on Saturday.
The Oakland Police Department did not report a motive for the shooting.
