3.2 magnitude earthquake reported off Southern California coast

A magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported in Los Angeles County on Sunday night, centered about 22 miles off the coast of Rancho Palos Verdes.

3.9 earthquake centered northwest of Malibu rattles Southern California

The earthquake occurred around 8:27 p.m., west southwest of Rancho Palos Verdes, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS Did You Feel It? app by around 9:04 p.m. had received reports from people who felt the quake at a low intensity in LA County areas including on and near the coast and inland, in Lakewood.

No damage was immediately reported. Earthquakes generally don’t cause damage below magnitude 4.0, according to the USGS.
