
SAN JOSE – A San Jose martial arts instructor was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, according to authorities.

The incident was reported Jan. 17, San Jose police Officer Tanya Hernandez said in a news release Tuesday.
Officers identified Bernie Barrozo, 28, of San Jose, as a suspect in the case and learned he was an instructor at a martial arts studio in the 800 block of Coleman Avenue, according to Hernandez.
An investigation also revealed Barrozo was a former behavioral therapist for children with autism in San Jose.
On March 6, detectives arrested Barrozo in San Jose and booked him into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of unlawful sexual intercourse and oral copulation with a minor.
